Courses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provide the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies.
Designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond. Teaches the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Airway Management and Oxygen Therapy can also be added as additional certifications to this course.
Comprehensive first aid and CPR skills for professional first responders or those training to become first responders. Course teaches the patient assessment model, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, hemorrhage control, and care for a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Participants will be engaged in dynamic training techniques including video, media presentations, skills demonstrations, practice sessions, discussions and scenarios based on real-life situations.
Participants will learn and demonstrate all knowledge and skills needed to provide appropriate patient assessments, interventions, and on-going care, including the transportation of a patient to a healthcare facility. Course content may vary depending on jurisdictional requirements and, in addition, follows the National Occupational Competency Profiles (NOCP) as defined by the Paramedic Association of Canada. Participants will be engaged in dynamic training techniques.

Bear Aware: Travelling in Bear Country provides general knowledge about bears, their habits, and behaviours. It will also discuss some ways to help prevent bear encounters, as well as what you need to do to increase your chances of survival should a bear encounter or attack happen.

This course covers general bear facts as well as discussing safety procedures for personnel working in the field, and the proper procedures for setting up and maintaining a safe camp. 1-2 hours
Bloodborne Pathogens is designed for individuals who may be exposed to blood and body fluids during the performance of their work and who wish to gain a more thorough understanding of bloodborne pathogens, the prevention of occupational exposure, and exposure follow-up. 3-4 hours
This online course identifies the characteristics of a confined space, describes the risks associated with working in a confined space and the prescribed methods for controlling those risks, and explains the documentation requirements pertaining to confined space work. 2-3 hours
This course is appropriate for all workplace parties, including frontline workers, supervisors, and management. Everyone in the workplace needs to understand the principles of fire safety and how to respond effectively in the event of a fire. 1-2 hours
The risk of H2S exposure exists in many industries, including, but not limited to oil and gas, pulp and paper, construction, and mining. In workplaces where the possibility of H2S exposure exists, ALL workers should have H2S Awareness training. Workers who are at risk of exposure to H2S and/or workers with rescue responsibilities also require H2S Alive and workplace-specific training. 1 hour
The term "lockout/tagout" refers to specific practices and procedures to safeguard workers from the unexpected energizing or start-up of machinery and equipment, or the release of hazardous energy during service or maintenance activities. Lockout/Tagout explains the importance of lockout/tagout in protecting the health and safety of workers. 1.5-3 hours
The purpose of the Medical Terminology course is to provide an introduction to the professional language used by those who are directly and indirectly involved with the art of healing. The course will also introduce those not currently involved in the health care environment to the language of medicine. In addition, the course will provide participants with the basics of human anatomy and physiology. 12-24 hours
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Awareness examines the importance of PPE as a means of protecting individuals from workplace hazards and describes the types of PPE which may be used in the workplace. 1-2 hours
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) introduces participants to the TDG Act and regulations and explains the requirements for receiving, handling, transporting and shipping dangerous goods, as well as the appropriate response in emergency situations such as spills or accidents. TDG regulations require that, with few exceptions, all persons engaged in the handling, offering for transport or transporting of dangerous goods be trained in the aspects of handling such goods. 5-9 hours
