About Us
Just-In-Case Event Medical Services began in 2007 and is proudly owned and operated by Krista Porteous, a seasoned Paramedic with over 20 years of experience. Krista’s background includes 20 years working as a Primary Care Paramedic, military training, more than a decade of service as a volunteer firefighter, as well as experience providing medical coverage in high-risk industrial and pipeline environments.
Her commitment to safety, professionalism, and community care is the foundation of Just-In-Case EMS.
Krista is joined by her husband, Casey Porteous, who also brings over 20 years of Paramedic experience to the team. His passion and dedication make him a valuable asset to the company and its operations.
Together, Krista and Casey lead a trusted team of over 20 certified medical professionals, offering reliable, professional medical coverage tailored to your needs.
Fun fact: The business name was inspired by their sons "Justin" & "Chase" to form "Just-In-Case", and yes their daughters are still waiting for their turn :)

For over 18 years, Just-In-Case EMS has been the trusted and leading provider of event medical services in Sarnia-Lambton and beyond. Our team of experienced Paramedics and medical professionals provide on-site medical coverage to respond and treat when someone becomes ill or injured at an event. We operate under the Medical Direction of Dr Paul Bradford for symptom relief medications and AED use. We recently became affiliated with Liuna Local 1089 to be able to provide medical coverage to the unionized sectors in the gas & oil industry.
We also offer Canadian Red Cross certified First Aid and CPR training that gives others the skills and confidence to respond when it matters most.
